If you are interested in Mexico’s dynamic second homes market and want to combine business and pleasure, then save the date and make plans to attend the MINT Second Homes Conference and Expo on April 19-20, 2007 in Cancun, Mexico, which will be officially opened by Lic. Rodolfo Elizando Torres, Mexico’s Secretary of Tourism.
TradEx, Mexico’s leading trade show company, The National Association of Realtors® (NAR®) and The Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals (AMPI) are teaming up to produce this high level international real estate event. The Conference will include an extensive trade show with hundreds of exhibitors, as well as an educational component. The theme is tourism and second home developments in Mexico. Education sessions will accompany the trade show with both Mexican and foreign speakers. Two of these sessions are a “Doing Business in Mexico” class and the Transnational Referral Certification (TRC) course. Linda Neil, a member of AMPI’s National Advisory Council and founder of The Settlement Company, will be one of the instructors for the “Doing Business in Mexico,” course. She will be joined by Adrian Arriaga from AAA Real Estate and Investments of McAllen, Texas. Adrian is the NAR® Ambassador to AMPI. This new course was presented twice in 2006, first at the Mexican real estate association (AMPI) conference and the second at the United States’ National Association of Realtors® (NAR®) conference in New Orleans. Upon completion of the Transnational Referral Certification (TRC) course, successful participants receive accreditation that is recognized world-wide. The web site www.worldproperties.com is available in five languages. Twenty-five countries are linked to World Properties through the International Consortium of Real Estate Associations. The site provides access to 2 million real estate brokers. The site is a tool for finding properties and real estate professionals around the globe.
By signing legally binding agreements with their member association, commissions are guaranteed at the conclusion of transactions.
Jeffrey Hornberger, NAR’s Manager of International Market Development and Linda Neil will present a panel on buying property in Latin America. Attendees at the Conference will include a host of high-level Mexican and U.S. real estate professionals.
