Letter from the Editor
Welcome to Another Day in Paradise and welcome to the year 2006 AD.
Ready or not here comes the dog.
It’s January and off we go, lumbering into another new year. 2005 went out like a light. I wasn’t actually ready for it and found myself fumbling for the switch. I hadn’t even finished all my resolutions yet and already it was time to dream up new ones. Well, good thing the Chinese New Year isn’t until January 29, that does give us a little more time to procrastinate before the start of the year 4703. So here’s your warning you have one extra month to prepare. We have art and culture and music and festivals, making for one very full busy year ahead of us.
Zihua Sailfest is coming up next month, February 1-5, 2006, www.zihuasailfest.com and The Zihuatanejo International Guitar Festival has just announced this year’s line-up, so check the official website: www.zihuafest.info to see what fabulous international musicians will be coming to Zihuatanejo to play March 26 – April 2, 2006. If you would like to sponsor an artist, airfare sponsors are needed for musicians coming in from all across North America. Volunteers are desperately needed as well, for the months leading up until the festival as well as during the festival week itself. If you would like to volunteer, go to the website for more information or email info@zihuafest.info, good fun for a good cause.
Happy New Year and hope your year is full of joy (in Zihuatanejo!)
And for all you pigs out there, here’s what they say about Pig fury in a Dog year, “Redefine yourself and make a mental commitment to practice the art of happiness.” Now that’s what I call good advice for anyone!
